Making tracks with a rail-ly good idea

42 Technology is a product design and engineering consultancy that works across five market sectors: consumer, energy, life sciences, industrial and transport.

Adaptable Carriage is one of the company's recent innovations. It's a unique train seat mounting and folding mechanism, and I’ve worked on several announcements for it including the launch of a working demonstration module at Railtex 2017.

Railtex is a massive industry event with over 400 exhibitors vying for attention, so there's a real risk even the biggest stories can get lost in the noise.

Adaptable Carriage was the only technology to be filmed by the BBC at Railtex, then broadcast on flagship national news programmes.
Zane van Romunde, transport sector lead at 42 Technology.

However, with detailed planning and a targeted approach we were able to secure extensive print, online and social media coverage for Adaptable Carriage at Railtex. With news and features in specialist titles covering the rail sector, engineering and product design, as well as TV and radio news.

The high level of publicity for Adaptable Carriage has also helped 42 Technology to raise wider market awareness for its name, and its new technology and product development capabilities for the transport and infrastructure sector.
